Here I go…

Okay.  I am going.  Today.  EEEEEEK!!!!!
I feel much better now.  I seem to have recovered, other than bruises from the IV and vampires from the lab.  I spent a good part of yesterday trying to get my pile of stuff to a point that I can pull it.  For the class I am taking, it [...]

Okay, I am not sick anymore, just really wiped out. I haven’t had protein in several days, and can really feel it. Again, where is the food pill??? Anyway, I am slowly piling my packing. I am heading out with John to hit a couple of second hand stores in order [...]

Star Trek, doggie style

While I was in a semi-stuporous, pre-hospitalized state, I had some pretty interesting dreams. Well, dreams might be a bit off, since I was awake, so daydreams, guided hallucinations?
The one I remember most was about how it would be a really good idea to do all the Star Trek series, from the original to [...]

I got some questions about Artfest, so here is my take on it - a bunch of (think 600) people get together in Port Townsend WA, and take part in a 4 day long event, with 3 full days of classes. Most people have one class a day or a two-day, but I am [...]

I have been working away this week on my trades for Artfest. I have no idea if anyone will want them, but at least I have something! My plan was to make beads, but the thesis and not enough time got in the way of that plan. Maybe next year!

The messy shot…

The [...]

Aside from becoming enlightened beings (ha!), we also spent a fair bit of time wandering around Vancouver’s secondhand bookstores. While I go all over the place, John has not been off the Island much since we moved over. So his goals for the trips included Samosa Garden for lunch, meatballs at Ikea [...]

Metta weekend

Nisargadatta Maharaj once said, “Wisdom tells me I am nothing. Love tells me I am everything. Between the two my life flows.”

Ren - humanity, benevolence

Zbi - wisdom, knowledge
This quote was used in both retreats I have attended, and I really like it. This retreat was a Metta retreat, loving-kindness, which was really [...]
