What exactly is a sweater vest? I have always wondered. I bet my grandfather wore them. This week it is HP and the Goblet of Fire. I wonder if Phoenix is on next week? I guess a new movie must be coming out soon. I have never been called for jury duty, but figured if it was anything to do with violence, I would be disqualified. Too much work with victims to be truly impartial, especially around sexualized and “domestic” violence.
I have been excavating my desk, in preparation of getting back to the thesis. It is due in just over a month, so time is very tight. I even renewed my library books! I decided earliet this week to dump the degree again, but after 10 minutes changed my mind. I just really want it done and that is going to take some self-discipline.
My thesis crew, watching me, always watching…
As always, I am being pulled in 2 directions. There is now a Comox Valley Crafters Market every Saturday at Millennium Park and I really would like to sell at it. However, I have some inventory, but not a ton. And the next month has to be completely thesis. Sigh. I suck at this balance thing. Of course, a thesis leaves little room for much else, especially when you leave it to the last minute… (and to be fair, keep getting sick!)
Molly had another seizure yesterday. She seems fine now, but it is stressful for all of us.

A sweater vest is a pull-over sweater with no arms. My kids wear them regularly as part of their school uniform. One wears a shirt underneath, usually collared and it looks rather spiffy in a Harvard sort of way. Glad you are sticking to your degree, it could easily turn into a regret later in life, and regret is a hard thing to swallow sometimes. Sorry about Molly, it makes you feel so helpless doesn’t it.

Ah! yep, my Mom’s dad wore those all the time. They are kind of cool, I think!
Yes, Molly is almost 15, and Cassie almost 16, so the next while might get tough. But all 4 are happy and healthy (except for age) so I am grateful for that! Helpless is right…
Harry Potter obsession at your house too? My mother and one of my sisters have all the movies, and books, but every time one of the movies is shown on tv - they have to work their schedule around to watch it. Why? They have the DVD sitting right there! lol
My Opinion - Sweater Vests are NOT cool, not even in a Harvard way! LOL
Nice mutterings.
Were you actually called for jury duty before? I don’t think I can be impartial either. I am too easily swayed one way or the other. Not good jury material at all.

Oh you’re very luck….it’d be nice in my life if I was always considered ‘disqualified’ for jury duty….I dislike it so much!!!
Drop by if you can- I’m there on Sunday’s too!
Sweater-vests may have a British look, but they’d be called a “pullover” there. Stick with the thesis! Look at all the work you’ve done! Look at the crowd you’ve got pulling for you! It can be done! ….. good luck!
I enjoyed all your ‘mutterings’ today … but your response to ‘alley’ is my FAVORITE! Mine are posted at Small Reflections this morning.
I remember writing MY ‘thesis’ and am glad it’s a task long in my past … good luck with yours ;–
Hugs and blessings,
Diagon alley! Great association! I guess that goes with the sweater vest - very practical, very British!
Loved the response to Alley - and the British sweater-vest response, but what I *really* loved was that we matched on Olive Oyl!
I’m so sorry about Molly. How very worrying for you. Please keep us all posted.
I’m sorry Molly had a seizure.
What a lovely London bear you have. Great!!!
I like your mutterings too.
You can find my mutterings ::here::
Have a great week!
